Live Life with Purpose!

Hi!, I'm Joe Smith and after 26 plus years of a very rewarding career in telecommunications, I've returned to where my professional journey began, in broadcasting.  Currently I am providing play by play for High School Football and Basketball games on WHTO Radio, 106.7 FM in Iron Mountain, Michigan with my primary focus on Norway High School sports in Norway, Michigan.  It has proven to be challenging, enjoyable and purposeful. 

I graduated from Marquette University with a BA from the College of Communication, Journalism and Performing Arts with a major in Broadcasting.  My most recent adventure is likely what I was always driven to accomplish.  I'd like to help bring clarity and entertainment to a community of listeners that share a common interest in sports.  Today, I strive to do that through broadcasting, blogging and potentially more.
