If you’re looking for some motivation to start living a healthy life which includes exercise and proper eating this book is for you! Now the book is talking mostly to men over 45 or 50 but I’m 37 and it is just as meaningful for me as it is for older men. The authors are factual and fun and it was a great listen. That’s right, I bought the audio version and listened to it while driving and running. It’s how I do most my “reading” these days!
My boss gave me the book because he thought it was that important and life changing! Thanks boss, I agree. Since then I’ve passed it on to my Dad and told all I know. All have agreed with me that it’s worth the read. What I love is the “cut the crap” style for example, “you must excercise 45 minutes a day, 6 days a week, FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE”. That’s pretty easy to understand, “FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE”. I’m a believer. This book doesn’t try and make you believe you can become fit by working out 3 times a week for 20 minutes a session. It’s the truth. Like everything else you must put in the time!!! Another example is when they discuss soda pop and how it is truly destroying your body. Sugars and salts and everything in it is extremely harmful. So what’s the advice you ask? Do not drink another Soda Pop FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! Do you get the idea. Now of course those are hard rules to live by and everyone needs moderation but if you keep these memorable ideas alive in your mind the progress I’ve made has been great!
